About the role
The Financial Manager will be responsible for various companies within the group’s, financial administration and management and will need to work effectively and accurately under strict deadlines.
Your typical day as Stanchion’s Financial Manager
- Expenditure budgets
- Financial administration
- Monthly and annual management reporting
- Preparation for audits and liaison with auditors
- Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and giving input with regard to financial management of assigned companies
- Financial systems and controls
- Oversee monthly salaries administration
- Ad hoc financial and administrative duties
- Management of Group Accountant
- Following up with customers and regional sales admin teams on overdue payments and ensuring they are resolved
- Preparation of customer account recons
- Resolving customer account recon queries
- Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable Ledgers to Trial Balances
- Providing support and completing other month-end activities under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer
Your Qualifications
Required qualifications/experience:
- Applicable financial degree
- Proven practical experience as a Financial Manager
- Experience in a fintech environment will be advantageous
- Detail-orientated and good management skills
- Proficiency in MS Word and especially Excel is essential (VLOOKUP, PIVOT)
- Numerical accuracy, attention to detail and methodical working methods are required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to liaise professionally with customers and personnel at the appropriate level
- Ability to work under pressure and to adhere to deadlines
